Graceland Celebrates Anniversary of Opening with Special Night of Events

On June 7, 1982, with the cutting of a blue ribbon by Elvis’ Aunt Delta and CEO Jack Soden, Elvis Presley’s Graceland opened to the public. Since opening, Elvis’ beloved home has welcomed over 23 million guests from around the world, becoming the ultimate rock ‘n’ roll pilgrimage for music fans everywhere. On that day in 1982, more than 3,000 fans paid the $5 admission fee for the opportunity to be the first to experience the place that the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll called home.

To celebrate the opening anniversary this year, fans and visitors can experience a night of special events on Saturday, June 7, for our Graceland Anniversary Celebration.
